My good friends Jo and Terry invited me to lunch the other day so I went armed with my camera cos I knew they had some beautiful flowers and shrubs in their lovely garden. The image above shows some ‘keys’ hanging on the red-leaved Acer they have growing in a tub. Jo told me this is the first year they’ve appeared.
This is a gorgeous Meconopsis – Himalayan Poppy … isn’t it a heavenly blue?
And finally – an Anemone de Caen – one of my all time favourites cos they come in such jewel-like colours. Please forgive the stem cutting across – it was unavoidable!
How blessed we are to have such a wonderful Creator, who has provided for our aesthetic needs as well as our material necessities. To quote part of Philippians 4:8: Whatsoever things are …. LOVELY … think on these things. (Especially if you’re feeling ‘down’).
bye for now, Eileen
I don’t get out and about very much, so it was a really nice photo opportunity when my good friends, Jean & Harry, took me to Wakehurst Place for the day. It has a little Mansion , beautiful grounds and several ponds/lakes etc. These are just some of the pics to give a flavour…..
See you soon ….. Eileen
I’m not sure what this little fella is – moorhen perhaps? There – I should have looked it up before posting …..
He’s a handsome chap ain’t he?
From a compositional point of view, I guess the squirrel maybe too central … I dunno , I know the rules but I can’t always follow them!
