Still Life with Contrasts

This one is all about contrasts – of shapes, colours, and textures. I thought the portrait format suited the tall pot. This image is also about repeating curves.
I placed this group slightly to the left and brought the orange peel forward to add a bit more depth to the image and boosted the brightness.
A bit more traditional in landscape format and content. Used those conkers again !
I removed the Fan and played around with the lighting for this one. Let me know what you think …. constructive criticism always welcome ! many blessings, Eileen
For me (and generally speaking) photography is all about the light and I think you absolutely nailed it with the last photo. I just see no comparison with it and the ones before it. Not that they are bad it’s just that the last one has life to it. And it’s not so still. 🙂

Thank you for your input David – I think you are right and I guess the extra light adds more ‘atmosphere’ . I may try playing with some post-prod light on the others and re-post them, depending on the results …..
